As we are located in
Central Dysart. Local pubs, coffee shop, post office, newsagents,
pharmacy, takeaway and even a museum are just minutes away.
Dysart harbour was used as
a filming location for the hit US TV series Outlanders and is also
the birthplace of John McDouall Stuart, the first explorer who
successfully crossed Australia in 1862.
The sea side and the
stunning Ravenscraig park with its woodlands, children play area,
castle ruin and costal path are also at a walking distance from our
B&B.
Kirkcaldy centre is only
15 minutes away by bus and is home to the Adam Smith Theatre,
Fife Ice Arena, shops and restaurants. It is the ideal hub to travel
from and to nearby major cities such as Edinburgh (30 miles), Dundee
(30 miles), St Andrews (23 miles), and Perth (40 miles).
The medieval and
picturesque villages of Fife also widely depicted in films and
paintings are definitely worth a visit too: Falkland (also filmed in
Outlanders), Pittenweem (with its art festival), Antruther (Official
best UK Fish & Ship shop), Crail, St Monans, Culross, Ceres etc...
